Flash Lite is a version of the Flash Player optimized for mobile and consumer electronics devices. It has been licensed by the world’s leading operators and handset manufacturers to bring exceptional mobile experiences to subscribers worldwide. Nokia has been integrating Flash Lite into Series 40 and S60 devices and has been shipping Flash-enabled handsets worldwide.

Open Screen Project Fund - Apply Today

The Open Screen Project Fund is a $10 million market development fund designed to accelerate the creation of applications, content and services that leverage the Adobe Flash Platform and run across mobile, desktop and consumer electronics devices. The global program was created to fuel innovation by directly commissioning select developers to create innovative apps, and by providing developer education and support. Nokia and Adobe are the first contributors to the Open Screen Project Fund.

This standalone version of the Flash Lite 2.1 player for Symbian devices is free and allows developers to test their Flash Lite applications and content before actual handsets start shipping with Flash Lite 2.1 pre-installed. This version is also available to end users who want to play back Flash Lite content and applications on Symbian devices.
